OTHER SALON KITS
We’re honestly so excited to be part of your smooth skin journey! The whole idea behind this kit was to make full leg waxing so much easier — and actually give you those long-lasting, salon-quality results… right from home without the mess. You’ve got this — and we’re here for every step (and every strip) along the way.
Here’s the secret to success: follow our instructions!
For first time use or if you are replacing your cartridge please follow the following instructions. If you have wax already in your device from the previous use then please skip to step 1.5.
1. Unscrew the cartridge wax:
Twist the lid of the cartridge wax counterclockwise following the thread design on the cartridge. Some cartridges may require a little more force to unscrew, it will turn however!
2. Remove the leakproof seal on the cartridge:
Gently tear off the seal to expose the wax within the cartridge.
3. Tighten the cap:
Once the seal has been removed, make sure to screw the roller cap onto the cartridge tightly, this will prevent any wax from spilling.
4. Insert the cartridge:
Insert the wax into the roller device by placing the cartridge inside.
5. Plug the device in:
Plug the device into the socket and press the power button on the front of the device, this will be red to begin with.
6. Device heating to temperature:
The light will turn from red to green when the wax has reached the correct temperature, this heating process should only take around 10 minutes.
7. Insert the cartridge:
The light will turn from red to green when the wax has reached the correct temperature, this heating process should only take around 10 minutes.
8. Keep the device plugged in until you're ready to use:
Don’t unplug the device until the next step has been completed, this ensures the wax will stay at optimum temperature for your treatment.
Test the Wax Temperature
You're now ready to begin waxing! Unplug the device, and if at any point the wax isn’t flowing smoothly or evenly, simply return to step 1.5 to reheat the wax.
Remember, always apply the wax in the direction of hair growth, and remove the wax against the hair growth for the best results. Because everyone’s hair growth direction is different this might be slightly different to what we are doing. This ensures a clean and effective removal.
You can either sit on a towel on the floor, or stand with your leg elevated with a towel on the floor underneath. We show you standing however if you prefer to sit down you can see the image here of how we advise sitting.
Standing with your leg bent and balanced on a secure surface (a bath is a great one to choose). Begin by rolling the wax from just below your knee down to your ankle, following the direction of the hair growth. This will help ensure smooth and effective application. Pro tip: Start by waxing a small area until you get the hang of it, then you can expand to larger sections for faster results.
Take a wax strip and start at your ankle. Press the strip firmly onto the freshly applied wax, leaving about 1 inch of the strip at the bottom, free from wax, so you can easily grab it. Gently rub the strip to ensure it sticks well to the wax.
With your non-dominant hand, hold the skin tight beneath the wax strip to reduce discomfort. With your dominant hand, grasp the free part of the strip and quickly pull it upward, against the hair growth, in one firm motion.
As soon as the strip is removed, immediately press your hand onto the freshly waxed area. This helps calm the skin and reduce the sting.
Each wax strip can be used for two roller sections from just below knee to ankle, but if it starts pulling or tugging at the skin, replace the strip with a fresh one. Avoid waxing the same area more than twice. If any stubborn hairs remain, simply tweeze them out.
Continue applying the wax, pressing the strip down, and pulling it off until the entire front of the lower leg is hair-free. Follow the same steps as described in 3 & 3.1. If you are sitting you will need to bend your knee outwards to get the inner calf and the opposite for the outer calf.
When working around the knee, keep your knee slightly bent. Apply the wax in smaller sections over the knee cap.Start with one half of the knee, remove the strip upward against the hair growth, and repeat on the other half of the knee. Continue waxing in smaller sections to ensure precision and comfort
If you are completing a half leg wax you can stop here and move onto step 4.5.
For the final step of your leg waxing, if sitting, you’ll need to position yourself slightly differently. Sit with your legs extended straight in front of you to work on the front of your thigh. We'll switch positions for the back of the thigh later. However if standing, carry on as you were.
Apply the Wax to the Front of the Thigh:
Start at the top of your thigh and roll the wax straight down to where you applied it on your knee cap. This will ensure a smooth transition between areas. You can cover a larger area with wax as by now you have the hang of the process. This will quicken everything up for you.
Just like you did on your lower leg, take a wax strip and start at the bottom of your thigh near the knee cap. Press the strip firmly onto the wax, then gently rub it to ensure it sticks well. Pull the skin tight below the strip with one hand and, using your dominant hand, quickly and firmly pull the strip upward against the hair growth. Make sure to apply pressure to the skin after removing the strip to reduce any discomfort.
Continue applying the wax, pressing the strip down, and pulling it off until the entire area is hair-free.Follow the same steps as described previously. Remember, always apply the wax in the direction of hair growth, and remove the wax against the hair growth for the best results. Because everyone’s hair growth direction is different this might be slightly different to what we are doing. This ensures a clean and effective removal. Pull the skin extra tight when waxing your inner thigh as this area is more sensitive and looser skin.
For the back of the thigh, if you are sitting down, we advise now standing and bending round to reach this area. Follow the same steps for applying the wax, pressing the strip down, and quickly removing it against the hair growth.
Once the entire thigh is waxed, check for any stubborn hairs that may have been missed. You can easily tweeze these out with a pair of tweezers. Over time, you’ll find that waxing makes hair removal easier and your hair grows back thinner and less frequently.
You can also wax any unwanted hair on your feet/toes at this stage as we show you here.
Using the post wax wipe included in the kit wipe over the entire waxed area, this will remove any sticky residue but also soothe the freshly waxed skin. Don’t bin this yet!
Proper cleaning of your roller device after each use is essential to ensure optimal performance and hygiene. Follow these steps for a thorough clean:
1. Disassemble the Device: Unscrew the top of the device to release the roller head.
2. Remove the wax: Roll onto a clean wax strip repeatedly to remove most of the wax.
3. Soak the Roller: Place the roller head in a bowl of boiling water and let it soak for 10 minutes.
4. Remove Residue: Carefully take the roller head out of the water. Roll it onto a clean wax strip repeatedly until no residue remains.
5. Clean the Inner Sides: Use the wipe saved from soothing your legs to clean the inner edges of the roller where wax may have accumulated.
6. Reassemble: Once all the wax is removed, reattach the roller head securely onto the device.
7. Proper Storage: Store the device upright in a cool, dark room, away from direct sunlight.
By following these steps, you'll maintain your roller device in top condition and ready for use every time!
