Nail Manicure Tutorial

If this is your 1st time, please read this carefully:

- Make sure to really take your time and read all the steps CAREFULLY. The 1st time it really needs your full focus and concentration to do the nails properly, so no multi-tasking.

We recommend to first read through the whole instructions and watch the videos first and then to go back to step 1 and start the process.

- Like playing the piano, doing your nails is a skill, the 1st time it'll take the longest, it'll be the hardest & the results might not look as perfect as you want.

- Also if this is your 1st time, we recommend to do the process first on just 1 finger to get the hang of it, and then after that do it on the rest of your fingers.

1st time (1-2 hours) - Takes the longest & results might not look as perfect as you want.

2nd time (45 min-1 hour) - Already much faster & results look much better!

3rd time (20-30min) - You can do it while netflixing and results are nail artist worthy!

Remember lady, practice makes perfect and you can't expect to get the same results at your first try as a nail artist that already does it for 15 years and did over 10.000 ladies their nails.

Before diving straight into the tutorial take a quick minute to read these tips & tricks.

This way you'll get the best results possible.

Step 2 - BASE & DIP

VERY IMPORTANT

  • Follow the instructions carefully and make sure to apply 4 layers of BASE IT to prevent chipping.

  • When you're not using the bottle make sure to fully screw on the lid to prevent the brush from going hard.

QUICK TIPS:

  • Coat 1 nail at a time and DIRECTLY dip your finger into the powder

  • Make sure NOT to paint your cuticles to prevent lifting

  • Where you apply the base coat the powder is going to stay, so apply the base coat evenly and ONLY at the nail plate, avoid your cuticle area at ALL costs.

If it helps you can take a toothpick and go around the edges to clean up the edges after you’ve dipped your finger into the powder, this should help to keep it clean.

Products Needed

1. Base It

Dipping Powder

Powder Brush

Steps

A

Stir through the powder with your cuticle pusher to make sure there are no clumps in the powder and application will be smooth

B

The first step is to take the base coat and brush off the excess residue, stay on 1 side of the bottle neck to make sure it doesn’t get sticky.

Now go ahead and apply a thin and even layer of base coat, ensuring you cover the sides of the nail as well.

Hold the brush parallel to your nail, so not 45 or 90 degrees.

This will help to prevent chips & cracks!

C

Now dip your nail into the powder at a 45-degree angle. After dipping tap on your finger to shake off any excess powder.

If the powder on your finger appears wet, you've used too much base coat and you need to redip your finger without adding more base it.

D

After you've done all your nails brush off any excess powder with the powder brush.

E

Repeat Step B to D another 3 times until you have a total of 4 layers, this is VERY IMPORTANT.

Step 3 - ACTIVATE

QUICK TIPS:
The 2. ACTIVATE IT is the solution that hardens the nails to prevent chipping & cracking.

  • This solution is skin-friendly, so don't be afraid to touch the skin

  • Make sure to apply generously, VERY GENEROUSLY all over the nail plate

  • The free-edge of the nail is most likely to chip & crack because it's the most flexible, make sure to apply gently on the free-edge

  • Don't worry if your nails are clumpy and not perfect, in this step we'll create the perfect shape.

Especially if it's your first time it can be a bit clumpy, but no worries, this will get better over time and 97% of our customers don't have any clumps after their 3rd try.

Products Needed

2. Activate It

Nail File

Powder Brush

Toilet/Kitchen Paper

Steps

A

Apply TWO generous, very generous, layers of activator to the full nail plate. It's important to coat the edges and, the tips as well. The activator is skin-safe, so use plenty & don’t be afraid to touch your skin with this step.

Repeat applying the activator on all nails.

Wait 2 minutes until the activator is FULLY dry.

You can test if the nail is fully dry by going over it with a piece of kitchen/toilet paper.

B

File down the nail until all bumps & impurities disappear and the nail plate is perfectly smooth, don’t be afraid to file roughly until you have a fully smooth surface.

Important to know: If your nails don’t look smooth/even at this point, they also wont look smooth/even when you apply the Top it. Make sure to really take your time to file them in the perfect shape.

C

When you are done shaping: Remove the excess dust with the powder brush

D

Apply a second layer of activate it.

Apply a very generous amount. Again: the more, the better, and also make sure to cap the edges of the nails.

Now repeat this on all nails.

Wait 2 minutes until all the nails are FULLY dry.

To make sure the nail is fully dry go over it with a piece of toilet or kitchen paper and then start with the top coat.

If your nail is not fully dry and you apply the Top It then the brush will become extremely hard. So make your nail is FULLY DRY!!

*Move on to step 4 below the video

Step-by-step video

Step 4 - TOP

VERY IMPORTANT:

  • If your nails are still wet from the ACTIVATE IT, it will harden the brush of the TOP IT, so make sure your nails are FULLY dry, this is extremely important!!

  • When you're not using the bottle make sure to fully screw on the lid to prevent the brush from going hard.

  • Also make sure to prevent any TOP IT on the skin to avoid premature cracking

  • And if you apply a too thick layer of the top it a “blister” will occur, so prevent that as well!

Products Needed

3. Top It

Kitchen/Toilet Paper

Nourish it or
Cuticle oil

Steps

A

Go ahead and apply a thin and even layer of TOP IT to your nail.

After each nail wipe the brush on a clean dry piece of kitchen paper and then put it back in the bottle.

Make sure it’s not out of the bottle for too long because this will also harden the brush

Repeat this process on all your nails.

Now wait 2 minutes to allow your nails to fully dry

NOTE:
Screw the TOP IT lid fully back on the bottle to prevent the brush becoming hard.

Did it still become hard? Switch the brush with the spare one and put this one in step 4 the Clean it. (Let the clean it brush dry and put that back at the spare brush place) This will make it soft again.

B

When the timer went off you then apply a 2nd layer of top it by basically following the same steps as in step A and again wait for 2 minutes.

C

{OPTIONAL)
Apply cuticle oil for the health & strength of your nails.
